Natures Kitchen – Illustrating Animals and Food!

And good food at that! All made with love and care with the chompers health at heart.

I was asked by Owners of www.lovenatureskitchen.co.uk Kezi Silverstone and Hellen Stevenson to illustrate their website. And so I did.

We illustrated everything!

Puber Dagboek (Teenage Diaries)

So months have past and a new year has begun. And man it’s been a busy couple of months!… make that half year!

But a good half year 😉 I did take on the project with Submarine to make a pilot and that evolved in to a 2 part animation which has since been on Dutch TV channel NPO3 😀

And there is talk of making more!

Test Test Test!

It’s been a nice calm period recently, but I think thats about to end. I’ve been asked to possibly work on a pilot for Submarine which should be great fun, but a big challenge. Not to mention another project kicking off with the Dutch Chiropractors association Both starting at the same time, with short deadlines :s But I can’t complain 😉

So I thought I’d do a couple of animation tests for both clients to see what we could do with there ideas. And here is what I came up with: (They are just tests so nothing amazing but enough to give me enough ideas and possibilities to think about)

 

Character Design – Green Bee

I’ve been working with Loep-Training again and had the pleasure to do some more character design! And this time there was a need for a Green Bee. This little character will be illustrating the Groene bijtjes club (Little Green Bees club) where kiddies can learn all sorts of stuff while having loads of fun!

Rigging puppets in After Effects

When things are a little quiet I like to experiment, so i’ve been having a play around with After Effects and perfecting my animating skills. I work with puppets a lot of the time. But this can be a little complicated and time consuming at times. All those limbs, timelines, pins and joints… But if any of you work with puppets in After Effects you’ve probably heard of or us DuIK.

This is a peace of free software you can install in After Effects to make rigging a whole lot easier. And the guys at Duduf have just up-dated and made it even easier for us animators Yippeee!

Check out this little man I rigged up and animated in a matter of minutes not hours! It’s not perfect, he had a limp, but with a little tweaking this software saves me hours of work 😀
